Jung und digital – Landesjugendring NRW
Jung und digital – Landesjugendring NRW
“Jung und Digital. Native. Nicht naiv.” ( Young and digital. Native. Not naive.) was a campaign in 2019 by the Landesjugendring NRW (Regional Youth Council North Rhine-Westphalia) in Germany.
Its focus was transformative impact digitalization has on youth culture, communication and rights. It is about raising awareness for opportunities and challenges for young people in the digital age. While highlighting the potentials like self-discovery, identity building through digital networks it also deals with issues about data privacy, surveillance in capitalism and the evolution of youth culture.
The campaign promotes young people in their digital competence by strengthening their well-being within the technological change. Approaches are being pursued to encourage them to become digital natives, i.e. not to ‘naively’ fall for pitfalls, but to be able to stand up for their rights in the digital space.
For this campaign I was tasked to create enticing postcards, funny slogans with illustrations that were used for print, digital publications. It helped bringing more people to the events through its humorous approach towards the topic.
